  Came for the message and stayed for the church. My family visited St John the Divine in 2014 to hear Father Nick speak. We stayed because we found a wonderful church and great people.

  The Wednesday night “beginner” classes with Father Nick have been very eye opening. My husband & I love learning the history behind EVERYTHING going on during services. It demystifies the Sunday Litergy of the oldest christian religion in the world. Who knew they could actually trace the clerical succession all the way back to the apostles? The Sunday School & Greek School offered appear to be above my expectations. The Mommy & Me group is also great for those with babies under 3 & its been a nice way to make freinds.
  
  On a personal note my husband & I decided to start our family & realized we both wanted to raise our children as Church going family. Having individually been unhappy members of several different branches on the tree of Christianity we’d suggest everyone study more than one! It’s rewarding finally finding a religion we awaken contentedly for on Sunday, enjoy studying on Wens, & that we have no reservations taking baby to. Even when he fusses Father Nick thinks its beautiful. He has two children under two of his own & he understands!
